Is the iPhone 18 worth buying in Cameroon? Pro, Pro Max and Duo

iPhone 18: what really exists

Apple presented only three iPhones in autumn 2026: the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone. There is no plain iPhone 18, no mini version and no 18e.

This matters, because "iPhone 18" is a very common search. Many people search for the name alone, without knowing which model to choose. Is the iPhone 18 worth buying in Cameroon? Here is the complete map, so you do not waste time.

Apple unveiled these models on 9 September 2026. They all run iOS 27 and use the new A20 Pro chip, built on 2 nanometres. If you see a simple "iPhone 18" elsewhere, without the word Pro, be careful: Apple has not announced that model. Our guide on how to buy a phone safely explains how to check.

iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max: which one?

Choose the Pro if you want a phone that is easy to handle and fits in your pocket. Choose the Pro Max if you want the biggest screen and the longest battery life. The chip, the main camera and the software are the same.

The table below shows the three models in our catalogue, with up-to-date prices. The price of each storage option is on its page: iPhone 18 Pro Max price in Cameroon, iPhone 18 Pro price and iPhone Duo price.

The iPhone 18 Pro: the standard size

The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch 120 Hz OLED screen. Its big new feature is the variable aperture of the 48 MP main camera: a mechanical diaphragm that opens or closes, from f/1.48 to f/4, to handle light better. It also has a 120° ultra wide and a 4x telephoto.

Apple announces up to 36 hours of video playback, fast charging to 50% in about 15 minutes and a weight of 211 g. It comes in black, silver, glacier and bordeaux.

Who is it for? People who want the best of the iPhone without a phone that is too big or too heavy.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max: the biggest and longest-lasting

The iPhone 18 Pro Max uses the same base, with a 6.9-inch screen that reaches 3,000 nits outdoors. Its telephoto offers optical zoom up to 8x.

Apple announces up to 45 hours of video playback, the longest battery life in the 18 range. It weighs 249 g and comes in the same four colours.

Who is it for? Photo, video and gaming fans, and anyone who spends their day on their phone.

In short

What about the iPhone Duo?

The iPhone Duo is the first foldable iPhone: it folds like a book, with a 7.6-inch inner screen and a 5.4-inch outer screen. Apple announces pre-orders on 16 October 2026 and availability on 23 October 2026.

It uses the A20 Pro chip, has a titanium frame and is water and dust resistant (IP68). Apple announces up to 44 hours of video on the outer screen and 31 hours on the inner screen.
