The Galaxy S25 range: what really exists
Samsung launched three Galaxy S25 models on 22 January 2025: the S25, the S25+ and the S25 Ultra. They have been on sale since 7 February 2025.
Many people search for "Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra" or "S25" without knowing which model to choose. Is the Samsung S25 worth buying in Cameroon today? Here is the family's spec sheet:

All three models are water and dust resistant (IP68) and shipped with Android 15 and One UI 7. The S25 Ultra is the only one with the S Pen and a 200 MP main camera. You can check everything in the "Our sources" section at the bottom of the page.
The right reflex
When a seller offers you a Galaxy S25, ask for the exact model name, the storage and the IMEI number. The names in this family are Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ ("plus"), Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE. An "S25 Pro" does not exist.
7 years of updates: until when?
The Galaxy S25 models are supported for 7 years from launch: until about February 2032.
Samsung promises 7 years of Android and security updates for the S25 series, as for the S24 series. The table compares the generations.

Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra: what is the difference?
The S25 is compact. The S25+ has a big screen and long battery life. The S25 Ultra adds the S Pen and the best camera.

The S25 and S25+ have the same triple camera: 50 MP, a 12 MP ultra wide and a 10 MP 3x telephoto. The S25 Ultra has four cameras, including a 50 MP ultra wide and a 50 MP 5x telephoto.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra: what sets it apart
The S25 Ultra has the biggest screen (6.9 inches), a titanium frame and the S Pen. It is lighter than the S24 Ultra.

Galaxy S25 or Galaxy S26: should you wait?
No, if price matters. The S26 brings a newer chip and Android 16, but the S25 remains a very good phone supported until 2032.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026. The S26 has a 6.3-inch screen, a 4,300 mAh battery and the Exynos 2600 chip. The S25 costs less. To compare, read our guide Galaxy S26 in Cameroon.
What about the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE?
Samsung also launched a very thin Galaxy S25 Edge in May 2025, then a Galaxy S25 FE. They are not in our catalogue for now.

In 2026, is a Galaxy S25 still a good buy?
