Is the iPhone 14 worth buying in Cameroon? 14, Plus, Pro or Pro Max

The iPhone 14 range: what really exists

Apple launched four iPhone 14 models in 2022: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. There is no iPhone 14 mini, no iPhone 14 Max and no iPhone 14 Ultra.

Many people search for "iPhone 14" without knowing which model to choose. Others look for names that do not exist. Is the iPhone 14 worth buying in Cameroon today? This guide gives you the full map of the family, so you do not waste time or make a mistake.

Here are the four models, with the figures published by Apple:

All four have a Lightning port and water and dust resistance (IP68). Only the Pro models have the Dynamic Island, the 120 Hz ProMotion screen and a 48 MP main camera. You can check everything in the "Our sources" section at the bottom of the page.

iPhone 14 mini, iPhone 14 Max: they do not exist

Apple never announced an iPhone 14 mini or an iPhone 14 Max. If you see these names, it is a mistake or a listing that needs checking.

These searches come up often. Here is what you need to know:

• "iPhone 14 mini": the mini line ended with the iPhone 13 mini. Our catalogue still offers the iPhone 13 mini if you want a small phone.
• "iPhone 14 Max": this name does not exist. The large model is called the iPhone 14 Plus or the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
• "iPhone 14 Ultra": this name does not exist at Apple either.

If in doubt, message an adviser on WhatsApp before you pay.

What about the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro?

The iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro exist at Apple, but they are not in the Gafloow Store catalogue for now.

The iPhone 14 Plus is the big-screen (6.7-inch) version of the iPhone 14, with the same A15 Bionic chip and up to 26 hours of video. The iPhone 14 Pro is the 6.1-inch Pro version, with a 120 Hz screen, the Dynamic Island and a 48 MP main camera.

We only sell the models we can deliver. If you are looking for one of these two, contact an adviser: they will tell you whether it can be ordered. Otherwise, two alternatives are available right away:

• a big screen: the iPhone 14 Pro Max, with its 6.7-inch 120 Hz screen;
• a recent 6.1-inch iPhone: the iPhone 15 or the iPhone 15 Pro.

What does "plain iPhone 14" mean?

"Plain iPhone 14" refers to the standard model: the iPhone 14, without "Pro" or "Plus".

It is not an official Apple name, but it is how many customers search for it. The "plain" iPhone 14 has a 6.1-inch screen, the A15 Bionic chip, a dual 12 MP camera and 5G. It is the cheapest iPhone 14 in our catalogue. Its full page is here: iPhone 14 256GB.

In 2026, is the iPhone 14 still a good buy?

Yes, if you want an iPhone at a reduced price. No, if you insist on USB-C or Apple's artificial intelligence.

The iPhone 14 models keep real strengths: a fast chip, 5G, water resistance and good battery life, especially on the Pro Max. What you give up compared with newer models:

• a USB-C port: the iPhone 14 charges through a Lightning port, like older iPhones;
• Apple Intelligence: Apple keeps it for the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 16 and later (see Apple's page);
• the camera: the standard model keeps a 12 MP main camera, while the iPhone 15 moves to 48 MP.

Before you buy: three checks

For a phone of this value, check three points: the phone is brand new, its IMEI is clean and the warranty is clear.

1. Brand new and sealed. A genuine new iPhone arrives in a sealed box. Our guide on how to buy a phone safely lists the points to check.
2. Clean IMEI. Our guide on checking the IMEI shows how to do it in a few minutes.
3. Clear warranty. Find our terms on the warranty and returns page and the delivery page.

You then order on WhatsApp, without creating an account. Your adviser replies in under 5 minutes and confirms the colour, the storage and payment by Orange Money or MTN MoMo.
