Why choose the Google Pixel 6?
Who is the Pixel 6 for?
The Google Pixel 6 price in Cameroon at Gafloow Store is 110,000 FCFA. It is the standard model of the Pixel 6 generation, released on 28 October 2021. It has a 6.4-inch 90 Hz AMOLED screen, the very first Google Tensor chip, 8GB of RAM and a 4,614 mAh battery. It weighs 207 g, supports 5G and is water and dust resistant (IP68).
It is for people who want a real Pixel at a small price: a stabilised 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra wide and an 8 MP selfie camera. It comes in three colours: stormy black, kinda coral and sorta seafoam.
Pixel 6 or Pixel 7: which one?
The Pixel 7 has the Tensor G2 chip, a 10.8 MP selfie camera and gets one more year of support from Google: until about October 2027, vs October 2026 for the Pixel 6. It sells for 125,000 FCFA, vs 110,000 FCFA for the Pixel 6.
On a tighter budget? The Pixel 6a costs 95,000 FCFA, which is 15,000 FCFA less, and is supported until about July 2027. Want a big screen? The Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch 120 Hz screen and a 4x telephoto.
Good to know before you buy
Google promises 5 years of system and security updates from the phone's release on the US Google Store. For the Pixel 6, that means until about October 2026. After that date the phone keeps working, but it no longer gets new security updates. If you use it for Mobile Money and banking apps, choose a model supported for longer.
The Pixel 6 is sold brand new and sealed in 128GB and 256GB: choose the storage on this page and the price updates. Before you buy, ask your adviser which version is delivered (nano-SIM and eSIM depending on the country of origin) and check that your network (MTN, Orange or Camtel) offers eSIM if needed. The warranty and delivery are explained below.
